SMN Accountants was established in 1995 by Shauna Niland.

Before then she was working under Gordon Tolcher, an accountant in the Moreton Bay region for over 40 years.

Shauna joined Gordan in 1991 and they enjoyed a happy partnership that lasted for several years. At the end of the financial year, on the 30th of June 1995, Gordon Tolcher retired and sold the business over to Shauna. He later found out it was excellent timing as he left before the arrival of GST!

In 1996 Shauna took the business to 4 Baldwin Street, Petrie, where it currently operates from.

Growing up in a family with a small business, Shauna helped out in their shop on the weekends. It was here that her passion for small business operations evolved. She wanted to pursue a career that enabled her to help those who took the plunge to start their own business.

Shauna lives locally and has three sons who all went to local schools. She now has three grandchildren who have followed suit!
